REALLY? SO YO MAMA IS A BULLDOG?

 I will not pretend to be some award winning writer but I do enjoy writing on this blog, and today I have been afforded the opportunity to express myself on a subject I will say I know enough about.

A few days ago a bench warming basketball player spoke on black women. Patrick Patterson was asked a question and his response was that black women are "bulldogs". This is why some NBA players don't marry black women? Give me a break.

My take on this is some brothers can't handle a woman that has her own voice, and will confront issues weather you are rich or not. I have seen plenty of men thinking their money should be the deciding factor in making decisions and the most black women can care less about that when their identity is at risk. Don't blame the sisters for you being a weak ass man. I wonder what the phone call was like with his mother. I feel like he and so many other black men always miss the point.

By no means do I believe that all black men that date/marry white women will not do the same with a black woman, but to the ones that has that be their only preference really need to take a look in the mirror.

Rant

Every time you look on the internet you can find some of the saddest news. No matter what this is coming to we as a people have to come to some conclusion that we have to be on the right side of history.

Coming from a broken home I was afforded the view that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, but being able to learn from it has given me so much knowledge about what it takes to survive. Having role models in my life helped some too.

Television has become so inaccurate about real life. All the black folks are villains while others are the heros. I have become more and more irritated that I can hardly stomach some of the crime shows. It use to be my escape now its just plain old boring.

THINGS ARE WHAT THEY SEEM

Ladies and gentlemen your President is totally unhinged. In my 51 years of life I have never thought I would live to see the leader of the free world act like an 8 year old that just got grounded for a bad progress report.

What has been going on for the last few days is just the tip of the iceberg, but can be the very thing that will get him impeached. The GOP is on the run and is beginning to retreat, but how far is that to the guy they have defended over and over again.

I am learning so much about politics and what I'm gathering is so alarming to say the least. Power is a dangerous thing when it ends up in the hands of a monster, but after learning how this political thing works- power has always been given to lunatic, with that I sometimes wonder what needs to be done to change it. Power and money goes hand in hand and you have to possess both if you want to even start making a difference.

WHAT SIDE OF HISTORY?

All this comes down to what side of history you want to be on.

So many reasons to choose wisely. Our futures are hanging in the balance and the balance of power is lopsided to the max. We, the civilians has been caught in the crosshairs of racism and the ultimate con game.

I must say this has to be the craziest 3 plus years I have ever been present for, we have a President that has no conscious and is bold in his behavior.

Take a close look at your life people. The past two plus years is absolute indication about where black folk stand in the world.

I'm not just talking about Trump neither. We have continued to encounter the hatred riding on the coattails of the power in the hate.

Now- the thing with Jay Z I will not ever pretend to understand his stance on the "kneeling issue" . Does he have something planned? Will he end up on the right side of history? Or is being on the rich side of history more important?

RIGHT OR WRONG SIDE OF HISTORY

It is time to stand up. I cannot believe how callous this country has become. Time and time again when I turn on my television someone has been murdered, a cop has shot and killed an innocent black human being, or the President is saying something that makes no sense at all.

I remember when we were able to debate and leave the room disagreeing and remaining friends. Now if you don't think like others you are going to be told you're on the wrong side of history.

Today, young black children are being told to conform when stopped by cops. So what your rights are being violated, but the only way to walk away alive is to allow them to do this. How about holding them accountable for things that has transpired.......

I continue to rack my brain trying to figure out a way to make sense of it all, but nothing comes to mind other than, arresting and convicting young black folks is big money.

1.) When you straddle a young black adult with a felony:

     A) He/She is a felon for life; they can't vote, have a hard time getting into college, and immediately becomes a burden on the country.

      B) They can't bear arms. A felony is hard to wash away.

      C)  These are in place to set up for repeated offenders at all times.


When most of us are in that position we find it easier to return to the street and hustle, because there is not many places willing to give you a second lease on life. There are not many schools willing to take on someone with a criminal record no matter how hard you try. Being black makes it twice as hard and that's a fact.

JUST BE

I was thinking about how important it is to do what you want to do in order to feed you happiness. We all have times when no matter what goes on in our world we will periodically find a way to kill the joy.


While reading some post on twitter, I have found the world going into a mode of wanting everything and not willing to work for it. Some people find their needs to be more important than others. We all have to find a place in our hearts to put someone before you. This is so important to us all if we plan on moving forward as a whole.


One relationship that comes to mind is the one with your child. The molding of a child has to be priority. I know some has to be coddled, while you can clip the wings of others. But most of all they have to be heard at a very young age. Give them love, but don't mistake material things as that, make sure they understand the hard work you put in for what you do for them, so when they grow up the understanding will be hard work and perseverance.

WE GONNA NEED SOME HEALING

After all the crap this country has been through, I had a feeling we would find a way to get back to normal. 

Now with just 2 years remaining with the current administration, that time can't come any sooner. It's been like going down a dark alley, -you know something is down there that will be harmful, and you cannot do anything to stop it from meeting you in the middle.

My biggest concern is for the Trump fanatics. Yes they are fanatics, most of them don't have a clue on what it takes to run a country. hell neither does he. Just because you can "run a business" the country should never be compared. 

Well if I had to guess the field for the Democratic nomination is going to be full of people thinking "if Trump can win I can too" not caring about what this country needs. We are going to need some serious healing, and not one of those candidates will have sense enough to understand or care about the pain this country is going through.
